All you need to know about Autocharge
With Autocharge, you can forget about tapping cards! This feature allows you to simply plug in, and we'll do the rest. Read all about it!
What is Autocharge?
Autocharge is a feature in the Fastned app that makes it easier to start a charging session. Once requested and activated, you simply need to connect our fast charger to your vehicle – we'll do the rest.
This means that you do not need to tap a card, or use the Fastned app to activate a charger. However, you do need an account and the Fastned app to request and activate the feature.
Does my vehicle support Autocharge?
Many vehicles offer support for Autocharge, but not all. Please check compatibility on our website.

How do I request Autocharge?
Requesting Autocharge is easy! We'll walk you through it.
Open the Fastned app, and create an account if you haven't done so already.
Make sure that you have a valid payment method added to your account.
Go to the Vehicle menu, and tap Autocharge available, request here.
Follow the on-screen steps, and make sure to read the terms and conditions presented by the app before confirming.

Issues with requesting Autocharge?

How do I activate Autocharge?
To activate Autocharge, you'll need to visit one of our beautiful stations. Then, follow these steps:
Open the Fastned app, and make sure you've requested Autocharge (see steps above).
Activate the charger. If you do not automatically get a pop-up to select a connector, go to the Charge menu and enter the full charger code. You can find this on the connector.
Connect the charger to your vehicle, and wait for the charging session to start. Depending on the vehicle, this may take a minute.
In the Fastned app, you will get a pop-up asking you if you'd like to activate Autocharge. Didn't get it? You can find it on the Charge menu during your charging session.
Follow the on-screen steps, and make sure you activate Autocharge for the correct vehicle.
Only when the activation is successful, you get an email.

Issues with activating Autocharge
If you encounter an issue with activating Autocharge, please try these steps:
Make sure that your charging session is running. You can check this in your vehicle, on the charger screen, and in the Fastned app.
Is Autocharge already activated for this vehicle on another Fastned account? This may be a family member, colleague, or previous owner. Contact us if you need assistance.
